Optional Practical Training (OPT) allows international students on a F-1 visa status to work in their field off-campus. To be eligible the student must complete 9 months of their degree. Most Roger Williams University students do OPT after they graduate. OPT allows a student to work for 12 months and sometimes longer depending on their degree.

It takes about 3 months to apply so contact the Intercultural center well in advance if you are interested in this opportunity.
